Margaret May Shuman Smith

Mrs. Margaret May Smith, age 92 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015.

Mrs. Smith was born in South Bend, Indiana on April 1, 1923, the daughter of the late Frederick and Catherine Grimm Shuman. She attended Purdue University and was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting and crafts.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Robert James Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Kathy Smith of Roopville, Georgia; Richard and Denise Smith of Kokomo, Indiana; brother, Richard Shuman of Green Valley, Arizona, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Salvati, one sister and one brother.

Due to her wishes her body was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Almon Funeral Home of Carrollton has charge of arrangements.
