Arthur G. Hazinski

Arthur G. Hazinski, 94, of South Bend, IN, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Signature Health Care of South Bend. He was born on June 8, 1923 to the late Joseph R. and Martha (Kowalik) Hazinski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with his parents; he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ciesolka.

Arthur graduated in 1941 from Central High School in South Bend, IN and then attended the University of Vermont, while in the service. He was an U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, where he served as a Second Lieutenant Flight Officer. Arthur worked for 34 years at Peerless Pattern Works in South Bend, IN, before retiring in 1988.

On February 20, 1954, he married Ellen Jean Richards in Crown Point, IN. She passed away on February 27, 1998.

Arthur is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Hazinski of Canton, OH; Susan Hammond of South Bend, IN; one son, Mathew (Pamela) Hazinski of Mishawaka, IN; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Friday, November 10, 2017 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where the Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday. Burial followed in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN, where Military Honors were conducted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
