SOUTH BEND - Frank G. Wegenka, 74, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15th, in Fawcett Hospital. He was born November 9, 1934, in South Bend, to the late Walter and Blanche (Napieralski) Wegenka.

Frank was a resident of South Bend until he retired in 1998. He graduated from Central High School and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Frank was the founder and owner of J&F Electric Supply Co., Mishawaka. On October 11, 1988, he married Janet D. Gersey. Frank will be remembered as an ardent fan of Notre Dame football and the Chicago Cubs. Frank will be greatly missed by his wife of 20 years, Janet; daughters, Teresa Kindig of Port Charlotte and Kristin (Jeff) Clauser of Leo, IN; grandchildren, Katherine and Matthew Clauser; sisters, Mary Jane Fowler and Patricia Laskowski; brothers, Chester and Daniel Wegenka; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Walter Jr. Wegenka, and a sister, Rita Wegenka Csenar.
