Carolyn N. (Whiteman) Klimek

SOUTH BEND Carolyn N. Klimek, 61, of East LaSalle Avenue, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mrs. Klimek retired as an activity therapist at Madison Center. She was born Nov. 2, 1932, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On June 22, 1957, in South Bend, as Carolyn N. Whiteman, she married Edwin M. Klimek. He died Jan. 8, 1986. She is survived by two sons, Bruce and Brad, both of South Bend; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Orr of Carmel, Ind., and Eunice Bright of South Bend.

She was a member of Presbyterian Players and South Bend Post Office Auxiliary. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a wake will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church
