SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Lois J. Haynes, 75, of South Bend, IN passed away February 18, 2009 in South Bend, IN. Born October 27, 1933, in Fort Wayne, IN, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Traubant) Weschgel. On June 26, 1954, she married Henry Clay Haynes. He preceded her in death May 29, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Gregory C. Haynes on October 29, 2008. Lois is survived by one daughter, Tracie (Brett) Day, of South Bend, IN; daughter-in-law, Karla Haynes of South Bend; and four grandchildren, Patricia J. and Clayton T. Haynes and William Z. and Scarlett S. Day, all of South Bend, IN. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, February 20, 2009 at the McGann Hay, University Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Rd., South Bend, IN. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
