ROJICS George Frank Rojics lost his battle with Cholangiocarcinoma on July 6, 2014. George was born in South Bend, Indiana on August 22, 1940 to George and Angeline Rojics. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Peggy; daughter Kristie Berntsen (Mark), son Jeffrey (Julie), daughter Kerry Boggus (Stephen) and his brother Louis (Sheila). He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Joshua Berntsen (Amber), Elizabeth Berntsen, Brittney Boggus, Kayla Rojics, Jennifer Rojics, Sarah Boggus, Jake Rojics, Samuel Rojics and his 3 great-grandchildren, Aretta Berntsen, Olivia Berntsen and Jeremiah Berntsen as well as his Golden Retriever Hanna. .

George graduated from Central High School in South Bend and attended Indiana University South Bend. His career took him from South Bend to the Saturn Program with Boeing in Huntsville, Alabama to Mobile, Alabama and settling in Jacksonville where he worked for 25 years at Clarklift of Jacksonville and retired in 2006 from Wingfoot, LLC.

George was a parishioner of Resurrection Catholic Church where he was an Usher and participated in the Men s Group as well as Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Jacksonville Outboard Club and the Jacksonville Offshore Sport Fishing Club. George enjoyed many vacations with Peggy out west; cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska and Canada.

The family will receive guests from 5pm to 8pm Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home followed by a special Rosary at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Resurrection Catholic Church at 11:00am Friday, July 11, 2014 followed by interment at Arlington Park Cemetery.
