Stephen B Savely
Stephen B. Savely, 59, of 313 E. Irvington Ave. died about 3:20 p.m. Monday at Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Savely retired from South Bend Supply. He was born Nov. 3, 1930 in Niles and moved to South Bend 45 years ago.
On Nov. 11, 1950, in South Bend, he married Marilyn Fites. She survives, along with two daughters, Susan Savely and Sharon Andrzejewski, both of South Bend, a son Scott of South Bend, five grandchildren, two sisters, Edna Best of Buchanan and Joyce Pawlowski of Allegan, Mich; a brother, Jack of Edwardsburg, and his mother, Nettie Stewart of Buchanan.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, and a former member of Masonic Lodge 45.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.
