William H. Wiltrout

Jan. 25, 1930 - Nov. 15, 2001

William H. "Bill" Wiltrout of Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly of South Bend. IN. passed away Thursday, November 15, 2001, after a brief illness. He was 71 years young.

Surviving him is the love of his life for 40 years, Mary Jane Wiltrout. and his three children, Susan Walter, Thomas (Elona) Wiltrout, Nancy (James) Williamson. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Ashley and Troy Wiltrout, Jacob, Samuel and Hannah Williamson; his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Louise Wiltrout; his nieces, Jaci Badics, and Debbie Roman, and very special friend Brenda Thaler.

Born in South Bend, IN: the son of Herbert and Eleanor (Schlundt) Wiltrout, who preceded him in death,

Bill graduated from South Bend Central High School and served his country during the Korean Conflict with the Marine Corps. He spent his professional career in Mechanical Contracting and was well know for his spirit and fun-loving nature. Bill enjoyed the many vacations and travels that he and his wife took and they made numerous friends along the way. He was a true sportsman; avid golfer, tennis player, basketball player, he did it all, his way.

Most of all he loved his family and his friends who will miss him greatly. We Love You! The family would like to invite you to celebrate Bill's life on Monday, Nov. 19, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1934 52nd Ave SE, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Hospice of MI or the American Cancer Society.
