Elsie (Henye) Butler

Elsie Butler, 74, Topeka, died Thursday, June 5, 2003. She was born May 18, 1929, in South Bend, Ind., to George and Mary Cseresznyak Henye. Mrs. Butler was a professional homemaker, devoted mother, grandma and great-grandma. She married Myral L. Butler Jr. on April 28, 1956, in South Bend, Ind. He died March 28, 2000, in Topeka.

Survivors include her children, Mary Hughes, Downers Grove, Ill., Sarah Butler and Scott Butler, both of Topeka, and David Butler, Lees Summit, Mo.; her granddaughter, Jennifer Jones, Topeka; and a great-grandson, Garrett Jones, Topeka.

Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66606. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
