Aaron A. Prather, 89, of Osceola passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Aaron was born in South Bend, IN on May 15, 1934, to the late Orwin and Genevieve (Bales) Prather. On June 30, 1973, he married Janet (Grooms) Prather who survives. Also surviving are his children, Lisa White, Julie (James) Walsh, Aaron Prather Jr., Christopher Prather and Adam Prather; grandsons, Matthew (Kira) Walsh and Jack (Morgan Cirlot) White; granddaughter, Michelle (Parker) Lucas; and 2 great grandchildren, Caius and Ari Walsh. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Lorraine Prather and sister, Constance Simeri.
After graduating from South Bend Central High, Aaron went on to have a career in sales for the mobile home and RV industry. He was a lover of bourbon, cigars and anything chocolate. He loved to tell stories about his experiences growing up in South Bend and time spent in Germany as a US Army Military Police Officer. Aaron will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years and all his children.
There will be no formal services and cremation has taken place. The family will be honoring Aaron later this month with a Celebration of Life. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
