Winford D. Wallace, 83, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth, Indiana.
Winford was born on August 22, 1941, in Itawamba County, Mississippi to the late Cletus and Hazel (Parker) Wallace. Winford spent his early years in Mississippi before his family relocated to northern Indiana. He had a long career at Bendix Corporation prior to retiring.
Winford was known for his sense of humor and his signature cowboy hats. He had a passion for western movies, country music, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing. He never knew a stranger and had a knack for making friends. He loved animals of all kinds, especially his dogs. Winford had an entrepreneurial spirit and was naturally creative.
He will be profoundly missed by his countless friends and family.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Pilgrim Manor, who welcomed Winford as part of their family and cared for him with compassion and love.
