Thomas A. Charlesworth

SOUTH BEND -- Thomas A. Charlesworth, 53. of Westfield. N.J.. formerly of South Bend, died Sept. 25. The death was ruled a suicide by Thomas E. Dombroski, medical examiner. Mr. Charlesworth was a veterinarian and was the owner of West field Animal Hospital. He was born March 12. 1940 in South Bend, and lived in Westfield lot the past 27 years.

On Sept. 27, 1969. in Westfield. he married Frances Braun. She survives. with a daughter. Kimberly of Westfield; two sons, Christopher of Manhattan Beach, Calif, and James of Westfield; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Alden Charlesworth of South Bend.

He graduated from Central High School in 1958 and from Purdue University Veterinary School in 1964. He served two years in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. He was a member of the American Veterinarian Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.

Services were held Sept. 29 in the Presbyterian Church of Westfield. Dooley Colonial Home, Westfield, was in charge of arrangements.
