NANCY L. (SHILT)  RUSS

MISHAWAKA - Nancy L. Russ, age 74, of Mishawaka, passed away in her home on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Nancy was born August 17, 1938 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Robert and Bernus (Booher) Shilt.

Following graduation from South Bend Central High School in 1956, Nancy married Charles Russ on September 21, 1958. He preceded her in death, passing away in 1997.

Surviving are her children, Leslie (Ron) Marvel of Osceola, Michael J. (Marlene) Russ of Loveland, Ohio, and Brian Russ of Mishawaka. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Dr. Brett (Elizabeth) Marvel, Ashley (Brian) Moore and Karen Denny along with 4 great-grandchildren; Charles, Sean, and Margaret Moore, and Virginia Marvel. Nancy is survived as well by her siblings, Jack (Maryellen) Shilt of Kingwood, Texas and Cynthia (Arnot) Wadsworth of Lakeworth, Florida.

Her sister, Linda Denny, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be one hour of calling prior to the funeral service which will be conducted by Rev. Michael Cramer at New Life Church in Osceola at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Nancy was employed as a secretary for many years with Dodge Manufacturing and Trinetics Corporation in Mishawaka. She loved to cook and work in her yard. She was also an active and long time member of New Life Church. Her family was everything to her, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
