Ada Marie Fuchs

SOUTH BEND -- Ada Marie Fuchs, 59, residing in South Bend, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2007, in her home after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Fuchs was born on July 20, 1947, in South Bend, and had remained a lifelong resident.

On October 11, 1986, in Lakeville, she married Richard "Dick" Fuchs. Along with her husband Dick, survivors include one daughter, Teresa (Daniel) Workman of Mishawaka; two sons, Russell Patterson and Arthur Patterson, both of South Bend; one stepdaughter, Kelly (Rob) Brunes of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Daniel Workman Jr., Pascia Workman, Christopher Patterson, Alexandra Patterson, Cassandra Patterson, Benjamin Brunes and Samuel Brunes; her mother, Teresa Marie Tutorow of Elkhart; two sisters, Diana (Steve) Freel of South Bend and June (Charles) Schenkel of York, PA; and two brothers, David (Debbie) Tutorow Jr. and Michael Tutorow, both of South Bend.

Mrs. Fuchs retired in 2002 after 12 years as an executive assistant at Honeywell Corporation. She was a member of the Lakeville American Legion Post 363 Auxiliary, 8 & 40 Auxiliary, and was a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 29th, in the funeral home.

Contributions in memory of Ada Marie Fuchs may be made to the River Bend Cancer Society, 919 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46617.

The family of Ada Fuchs would like to thank the Oncology Department of Memorial Hospital, Dr. Rafat Ansari and his staff as well as Hospice for the superior care and support.
