James Leonard Johnson II

James Leonard Johnson II was born 6/9/1947 in South Bend, Indiana. He was the son of the late James Leonard Johnson, Sr. & Inez Helena (Archer) Johnson; fraternal grandparents John Bernard Johnson & Anna Elizabeth (Norris) Johnson; maternal grandparents Emily (Jimison) Archer & Melvin Archer; brother Byron Johnson and sister Sylvia Johnson.
James Leonard graduated from Central High in 1965. He later join the Navy, leaving with an Honorable Discharge in 1988. He was retired from I/N Tek after 26 years of being a loyal employee. He loved gadgets, building things, electronics and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his beloved daughter Jenny Johnson; son James Leonard Johnson III; grandchildren: Tereca R Johnson-Mack, Jamesa L Johnson, Corrine A. Johnson, and Janelle K. Johnson. Mylea N. Johnson, James L. Johnson IV, Jeremiah H. Johnson and his great-grandchildren: Dario Lee Jr, Cordae Graham, Nathaniel L Graham Jr and Terron Marcus Rutland; nieces; great nieces; nephews; great nephews; cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Funeral services for Mr. James Johnson II will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Ardmore LaSalle Church of Christ, 55501 Moss Road, South Bend IN 46628. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the church. Palmer Funeral Home - West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
