George H. Klinghammer

George H. Klinghammer, 77, of Brick Rd. in South Bend, Indiana passed away November 6, 1998 in Hospice House of St. Joseph County of natural causes.

Mr. Klinghammer was born March 27, 1921 in South Bend to George and Florence Klinghammer. Surviving are three sons, George Klinghammer, Dale Klinghammer and Kurtis Klinghammer, all residing in Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Sharon Walker of South Bend; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home with interment to follow in Chapel Hill.

Mr Klinghammer graduated from and played football for South Bend Central High School. Mr Klinghammer served in the Navy during World War II. He was employed by Freeman-Spicer as a diesel mechanic for many years until retirement in 1986. Mr Klinghammer was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars South Bend Post 624 and the American Legion Post 284 in South Bend.

Donations in Mr. Klinghammer's name may be made to Hospice House of St. Joseph County.
