Howard A. Teeter

July 22, 1917 - June 21 2001

Howard A. Teeter, 83 years Old, residing in Shamrock Gardens on Generations Drive, South Bend, passed away at 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2001, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

Mr. Teeter. was born on July 22, 1917, in South Bend to the late Floyd Melvin and Anna (Thorson) Teeter. He has been a lifelong area resident.

On October 5, 1940, in South Bend, he married Evelyn D. Whitman who preceded in death in 1967. On May 12, 1968, in South Bend, he married Donna G. Bannister who survives and resides in Ft. Collins, CO.

Along with his wife, Donna, survivors include four daughters, Sandra Ann McKenna of South Bend, Judith S. Christian of Sedona, AZ, Gail P. Anderson af Heflin, AL, and Jane C. Gitter of Ft. Collins, CO; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Teeter retired in 1973 from Bendix corporation as a mercury, driver after 40 years of service. He was active in local Democratic politics and instrumental in founding Bendix Union Local #9.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place with burial following at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements.
