Norman John Kuzmicz

Norman John Kuzmicz, 76, of Meadow Lane, South Bend, passed away at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2005 in his residence. Norman was born June 19, 1928 in South Bend to the late Anthony and Martha (Slomski) Kuzmicz.

On Nov. 18, 1950, he married the former Irene V. Kendziorski, who passed away in 1978. He remarried on Sept. 20, 1980 to the former Bernice Gray, she passed away in 2003. Two brothers, Edwin and Raymond, also precede him in death.

Norman is survived by four children; Philip (Shirley) Kuzmicz of South Bend, Joyce (Clifford) Binder of South Bend, Cynthia (Dennis) Erkmann of Bloomington, Ill., and Michele (Steven) White of Bremen, IN. Two step sons, Christopher (Deborah) Galvas of South Bend and Darrin (Barbara) Gray of South Bend. Nine grandchildren. Six great grandchildren. Two brothers; Aloysius (Stephanie) Kuzmicz and Frank (Dorothy) Kuzmicz, both of South Bend.

Norman has been a lifelong area resident. He attended Central High School. He proudly served his country during World W II in the Navy. He worked for Miles Laboratory as an Operating Engineer and retired in 1996. He was a member of the American Legion Post 284.

A private family service has taken place with burial in St. Joseph RPC Cemetery, South Bend.
