April 23, 1935 ~ February 21, 2025 89 Years Old

Mr. Eddie Lee Brandy, Jr., 89, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was born on April 23, 1935 in Starkville, Mississippi to Eddie Lee Brandy, Sr. and Virginia Lee Thomas White; they both preceded him in death.
Eddie relocated to South Bend when he was 15 years old. He graduated from the former Central High and entered the workforce. His employment history includes DHL and the South Bend Community School Corporation. He was also employed as a CNC Operator at Raco South Bend; he retired from there following more than 20 years of employment.
Eddie confessed a hope in the Lord at an early age having been raised by his grandfather, who was a minister. Eddie joined Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church where his brother, Pastor Johnny White attended. When Pastor White relocated to Southaven, Mississippi, Eddie continued his membership at Mount Carmel where he was a member until his passing.
Eddie enjoyed all sports and spent countless hours watching various sports competitions. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved music, gardening, cooking and was a great mathematician. Eddie also loved to dress and was regarded as a Hollywood star dresser. He frequented the Elks Lodge #298 for many years and served as the House Man for 15 years. Eddie also enjoyed spending time with his family and had a special love for his dogs King (who he got as a puppy) and Sadie Mae.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 15 years, Nathalee King Brandy; a daughter, Karen Brandy Comer; two sons, Kenneth (Tanisha) Brandy and El Sadiki (JoAnna) Abdullah; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Pastor Johnny White; a sister, Lula Malone; a stepson, Romans King Sr.; a stepdaughter, Aarika (Byron) Stepps; three sisters in law, Audrey White, Evelyn Jones, and Christine King; six brothers-in-law, Carl King, Arthur King, Maurice King, Walter King, Corneilus King, Jr. and Willie Jenkins; two favorite nieces, Tracy Coleman and Raven King-Jaouni; favorite nephew, George White, Jr., along with other nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Joseph White, Sr.; two brothers, Joseph White, Jr. and George White Sr.; one sister, Annette White-Jenkins; two uncles, Harry Lee Thomas and Arthur Thomas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cornelius and Sarah King; a brother-in-law, Charles King; a sister-in-law, Vivian Keyes and his first wife and mother of his children, Barbara Vance Brandy.
