CHAPEL HILL Wallace Alan Nelson, 86, a retired sales manager from Rowe Manufacturing Co., Galesburg, Ill., died Friday. Memorial service 3 p.m. Sunday, Community Room, Carolwoods.

Surviving: wife, Mrs. Marguerite Nelson; daughter, Mrs. Anne Jones of Greensboro; son, David A. Nelson of Hinsdale, Ill.; a sister; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University United Methodist Church, Franklin Street, Chapel Hill 27514. Arrangements by Triangle Cremation Services
