Herbert J. Allemang

Herbert J. Allemang, 60, of Bloomington, Ill., president of Eureka Williams Co., and formerly of South Bend, died unexpectedly Thursday night. He collapsed as he stepped ashore his yacht docked in the Chicago boat yard.

He and his wife, the former Margaret Helen Geyer, also of this city, were preparing to take their boat today to Charlevoix, Mich., for a summer vacation.

In addition to his widow, Mr. Allemang is survived by a son, John, and a grandson, of Muncie, Ind.; his mother, Mrs. Effie Mae Allemang, and a sister, Mrs. liam Hobbick, South Bend, three brothers, Paul V. Allemang, of Dayton, O.; Richard Allemang, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Robert Allemang, of Marion, Ind.

Mr. Allemang was graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1920, and DePauw University, Greencastle. Before joining Eureka Williams, in 1954, Mr. Allemang had been an executive of the Bendix Aviation Corp. here and the Philco Corp. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
