Edna May Beyrer

BEYRER - Graveside services for Miss Edna M. Beyrer, 89, of the Army Distaff Hall, Washington, D.C., and formerly of South Bend, who died Sunday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nurse's Section of Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. She was born Dec., 26, 1893 [1883].

Among the survivors are two sisters, Miss Edith Beyrer, and Mrs. Archie L. Gemberling, both of South Bend. Miss Beyrer had served as a chief nurse in the U.S. Army Hospitals in the Philippines, Hawaii, and in the continental United States.

She was a veteran of World War I, having served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps.
