Julia E. (Kalamajski) Paris

July 11, 1923 - July 10, 2002

Julia E. Paris, 78, of Haviland Drive, South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2002, in Hospice House, South Bend. Mrs. Paris was born in Denver, Colorado, on July 11, 1923, to the late Leonard and Julia (Glenski) Kalamajski.

On October 19, 1946, in South Bend, as Julia Kalamajski, she married Al J. Paris, who preceded her in death on March 1, 2002. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lottie Jaroszewski and a brother, Stanley Kalamajski.

Mrs. Paris is survived by a daughter, Joyce (Bob) Luther of South Bend; two granddaughters, JoAnn (Todd) Chamberlain of South Bend and Janene Marie Donarski of St. Joseph, Michigan; and three great-grandchildren, Erik James and Allyse Marie Donarski and Faith Elisabeth Chamberlain.

Mrs. Paris was a graduate of South Bend Central High School and was employed as an office administrator for Tucker Freight Lines, before retiring in August of 1985. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, South Bend, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Council.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2002, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2002, in Christ the King Church, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437
