Louis N. Horvath
March 12, 1916 - June 21 , 2005
Louis N. Horvath was born to Charles and Theresa Horvath on March 12, 1916, in South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Horvath was a lifetime resident of South Bend and attended St. Stephan's Grade School and Central High School.
He married Marie Gruber in 1939 and had two sons, Robert Horvath of Elkhart, IN., and William Horvath of Billings, Montana, who both survive the parents.
He worked at the Studebaker Auto Plant for 29 years and finished his working years at South Bend Range Corp. for 10 years prior to his retirement in 1978. He loved to fish and was a generous provider to his family. Mr. Horvath moved to Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart in 2002, after the death of his wife of 62 years, in order to be closer to family.
His is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Clare Evenson of Indianapolis IN; and his brother, Mr. Frank Horvath of West Hills, CA.
Mr. Horvath expired at 12:25 p.m. on June 21, 2005, of natural causes at age 89. He requested in advance that no memorial service be initiated before cremation
