Mr. Dwight Tyrone Sanders, 51, beloved father, grandfather and brother, who resided on Swigart Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept.

4, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. He was born on March 27, 1954, to the late Houston and Estella (Witherspoon) Sanders in South Bend. He majored in business at Cerritos College in Cerritos, Calif., and studied engineering at the University of Michigan for one year. He was employed 24 years as a supervisor for the Los Angeles County assessor department. He was employed over two years as a receiver for Woodwind and Brasswind Company. He was a former member of Grace AME Zion Church. He was a Muslim who worshipped independently.

His parents, Houston and Estella Sanders Sr., one sister, Dorothy Scruggs, three brothers, Houston Sanders Jr., Lawrence Scruggs and Louis Scruggs, all preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, Kiana (Walter) Jackson and Allahnesha (Jessie Fitzgerald) Newhouse; two sons, Deangelo (Felisha) Sconiers and Dwight Tyrone Newhouse, all of South Bend; four stepdaughters, Johnetta Fuller and Angel Fuller, both of Sacramento, Calif., Geraldine Fuller of Long Beach, Calif., Mary (Darren) Pickering of Orange, Calif.; a stepson, Tony Fuller of Portland, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; four sisters, Whajhah (Eiaustria) Sabir of Atlanta, Ga., Maxine Dorn of Cincinnati, Ohio, Vera Dunn of Minneapolis, Minn., and Geraldine (Coty) Flowers of Milwaukee, Wis.; two brothers, Herbert Sanders of South Bend and Leonard (Nita) Scruggs of Miami, Fla.; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Dwight Tyrone Sanders will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 10, in Alford's Mortuary. Friends may call one hour prior to services in the chapel. Condolences may be sent to alfordsmortu-arvcomcast.net . Arrangements have been entrusted to ALFORD'S MORTUARY.
