Creda Gayle (Frank) Lantz

March 4, 1938 ~ June 11, 2025

Creda Gayle Lantz, 87, of South Bend, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday evening, June 11th, surrounded by her loving family.

Creda was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on March 4, 1938, to Frederick C. and Creda G. (Keen) Frank. A lifelong area resident, who worked in the engineering department with St. Joseph County, as an office manager, prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading and working puzzles. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her loving family.

Creda is survived by her loving children, Jeanne M. (Kevin) Mahoney of Cyprus, Texas, Nancy L. Mersich, and Michael F. (Stacy) Walsh both of South Bend. She was the proud grandmother of Ryan (Meredith) Mahoney and Mitchell (Stephanie) Crothers, and great-grandmother of Olivia and Jack Mahoney. Creda is also survived by her sister, Shirley M. (Norm) Salo of Bretherland, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Lou Runnells.

As per Creda’s wishes she will be cremated. There will be no services scheduled at this time. Hanley and Sons Funeral Home is assisting Creda’s family with arrangements and with to express their deepest sympathies to all of Creda’s family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545. The family would also like to thank the entire staff with hospice for their care and compassion through this time.
