NORMA J. (GRADY) WEAVER

Norma Jean Weaver Dec. 30, 1928 - May 25, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Norma Jean Grady Weaver, 86, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, in the Milton Home Nursing Facility. Her death followed an extended illness. She was born December 30, 1928, in South Bend, IN, to the late Governor and Lula Grady Sr.

She attended and graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1945.

After graduation she relocated to Chicago, IL, where she worked for several companies and retired from Western Electric after many years. After retirement she moved to Mishawaka, IN.

Mrs.Weaver is survived by one daughter, Carol Jean King-Washington, Mishawaka, IN; a sister, Doris Grady, Ocala, FL; three brothers, Governor (Geraldine) Grady Jr., Overland Park, KS, Spencer (Lillie) Grady and Barry (Mable) Grady, both of South Bend, IN; one grandson, Jon King Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; one granddaughter, Norma Rae Washington, Fort Riley, KS; one great-great-grandson, Xavier King; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Mrs.

Weaver was preceded in death by her parents, Lula and Governor Grady, Sr.; three sisters, Annie Ruth Nichols, Effie Wilson and Catherine Greene; one brother, Burdette Grady.

The family extends special thanks to the staff of the Milton Home Nursing Facility for their exceptional services.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29 2015, at Alford's Mortuary, with viewing occurring at Alford's Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary. www.Alfordsmortuaryinc.com
