PERRY WARD Gary, IN Perry went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2009. He was born Dec. 22, 1945 in Madrild, CA to Palmetter & Thomas Ward.

Perry was a graduate of Central High School, South Bend, IN.

He served in the Vietnam War & retired from US Steel with 35 years service. His greatest achievement at US Steel was when he became supervisor.

Preceded in death by 2 brothers & 5 sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memories, devoted wife of 37 years, Bettye (Wimbush) Ward; 4 children, Darryl (Shelisa) Wimbush, Shawn (Yevette) Ward, Tyion (Sheila) Allen, Christopher Ward; his loyal sister, Charletta Harris; beloved mother-in-law, Cora Adams; devoted sister-in-law, Corene Hughely; 9 grandchildren, host of relatives & friends.

Funeral services Thursday, March 26, 2009, 11 a.m. at Great Band Missionary Baptist Church, 2649 Wabash, Gary, IN. Eulogy by his faithful pastor, Rev. Asher Harris.
