KATHLEEN M. STAPLES

MISHAWAKA - Kathleen M. Staples, 73, of Mishawaka, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010, in her residence. Kathleen was born March 31, 1937, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Noah E. and Verda S. (Jackson) Staples, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter, Dawn M. Lovejoy-Aerni of Indio, California, and her grandson, Josh Aerni PFC, U.S. Army, of Mishawaka. Also surviving are her siblings, Ray (Mary Lou) Staples, Larry Staples, Jewel Bennett, Kathleen Staples, Margaret Kronewitter, Carolyn (Gerald) Kozuch and Delores (Ray) Bruning.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her siblings, Clinton, Rondal, Glen and Eva Staples.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Kenneth Bruning at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

Kathleen was a graduate of South Bend Central High School, class of 1955.

She was employed for many years in assembly at the A.M. General Corporation in Mishawaka, retiring in the mid-1990s. Kathleen enjoyed being involved in her neighborhood's activities, and spending time with her friends and family. In her spare time she enjoyed visiting the casino in Michigan City.
