SOUTH BEND - Jim Owens, age 83, passed away in Davidsonville, MD, on September 1, 2013.

He attended Holy Cross Grade School and Central High School in South Bend, IN.

He also served six years in the Navy and Navy Reserves.

He graduated from the University of Miami in Ohio, and received his Master's Degree from the University of Washington. He was an American hero, having dedicated his life for more than 30 years working for the CIA.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Young, and brothers, Thomas E. Owens & Robert J. Owens.

A memorial Mass will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Avenue (Route 214), Davidsonville, MD.
