Theresa Marie Torok (Moore) - Class Of 1940 VIEW PROFILE

THERESA M. (TOROK) MOORE

Theresa Marie Moore was born in South Bend, Indiana on September 17, 1922. She was the eldest of two daughters of Theresa and Louis Torok. Terry attended St. Stephen Grammar School and Central High School.

After graduation she worked at several shops in South Bend and joined the Red Cross as a social worker. While living in South Bend, she determined to obtain a degree from Indiana University, but that required she study for two years on campus in Bloomington, Indiana. While at the university, she met and was courted by and became engaged to George T. Moore. They were married in June of 1957 in St. Stephens Church. They moved and lived in Billings, Montana, where they had a son, George P. Moore at St. Vincent's Hospital on January 7, 1959. They were transferred and lived in various localities until 1969 when they arrived in Placentia, California.

She enjoyed reading, writing, was a published writer and enjoyed dogs. Theresa was a member of and held positions in the Santa Ana Valley Kennel Club for many years. She enjoyed travel, cruising, and camping. She was a regular parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and partook of the church's Bible study program. She was also a member of the Romance Writers Association and a lifetime member of Pi Lambda Theta.

Theresa passed away on November 29, 2014. She is survived by her devoted husband and son. Viewing and rosary will be held 6-8 PM Thursday, December 18, at McAulay and Wallace Mortuary, Fullerton. Memorial Mass will be 11 AM Tuesday, December 23 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Placentia. McAulay & Wallace Mortuary
