SOUTH BEND - Ms. Andrea Jackson, 62, of South Bend, Indiana, suddenly departed this life on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. "Cookie," as she was very affectionately known by all, was born to the union of Leon and NoraBelle (Pearson) Boyking on January 19, 1951, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Cookie accepted Christ as her personal Savior while the family attended the Laymen Chapel CME Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. Billie Kirk.
She received her education in the South Bend School system and was a proud graduate of Central High School.
Cookie was employed by St. Joseph Medical Center in Health Services until her retirement. Andrea became a member of the Daughters of Elks, Pride of South Bend Temple #264 in 1983. As a Daughter Elk, Cookie proudly and very faithfully served as the Daughter Escort. Her joy came in spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren; reading the daily newspaper; working her Crossword puzzles. She graciously served others by visiting the sick and helping the elderly...this was the life that she thoroughly enjoyed!
