SOUTH BEND - As the year of 2008 grew to an end, so did the life of our loved one, Ronald Foulks, affectionately known to many as "Duck". The end came on Monday, December 29 in Illinois Masonic Hospital.

On August 29, 1950, life began for Ronald in Lake County, Tennesee when he was born to the union of Willie Lee and Louise (Wardlow) Foulks.

After relocating to South Bend with his family, Ronald attended Central High School.

Ronald resided in Chicago, Illinois and was employed by Vienna Beef of Chicago for the past four years. "Duck" enjoyed watching the Bears play on any given day with his friends.

Family members who survive to cherish his memory include three daughters, Marsha (Ray) (Foulks) Griggs of Plano, Texas, Selena Pope of Hiriam, Georgia andTracy Parker of Chicago, Illinois; one son, Craig (Dana) Marsh of South Bend, Indiana; nine grandchildren; his father, Willie Lee Foulks; one sister, Deborah (Casey) Harrison; and one brother, Willie Earl Foulks; aunts and uncles, Martha and Archie Winston, Margaret and Willie Hubbard, Clyde and Deidra Wardlow and Robert Wardlow, all of South Bend, Indiana, along with other relatives and friends.

Loved ones who preceded him in death include a son, Demetrius Buchannon; his mother, Louise Foulks; maternal grandparents, Rozell and Lucille Wardlow; and his paternal grandfather, Johnson Foulks.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon at Alford's Mortuary where arrangements have been entrusted. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Messages of condolence may be e-mailed to alfordsmortutury@comcast.net c/o of Foulks family.
