Harrietta E. (Duckworth) Scott

Harrietta E. Scott age 82, of South Bend, of North Olive Street. passed away after an illness on September 22, 2022, at the home of her family, in Indianapolis, IN. Mom was born January 1,1940 to Melvia (Thomas) Duckworth and Howard Duckworth who proceed her in death. Mom, or Mrs. Scott, as she was quick to remind you, was a graduate of Central H.S. of South Bend and she attended IUSB. Harrietta worked in South Bend for many years. She was politically active including running for office and she always exercised her right to vote.

In 1960 Harrietta married the love of her life Edward M. Scott; they would renew their vows in 1983. Mrs. Scott enjoyed her family and friends She enjoyed playing cards with her family / friends well into the night. She loved listening to music, (some songs over and over), and she loved to express her views on many a subject with great insights.

Harrietta was preceded by her husband Edward M. Scott. She is survived by her daughters; Toni Graham and Kimberly Graham of South Bend, IN; Her sons, Jesse Scott of Dallas TX; Larry Scott of Indianapolis, IN; Darryl Scott of Chicago, IL; Phillippe Scott of Indianapolis, IN.; stepsons, Steve Scott of Dallas TX, and Edward M. Scott, JR of South Bend, IN., two sisters; Mrs. Pinkie Freeman of South Bend, IN and Ms. Yvonne Wells of Boston Massachusetts.

Grandchildren (listed Alphabetically) Abigail Scott, Adam Scott, Augusto Torres, Carlos Graham, Charles Graham, Darnell Scott, Darryl Scott Jr, Edward Scott III, Ginger Scott, Harrietta Bell, Keishan Harper, Quinton Scott, Randall Lewis, Sharita Scott, Shawn Scott, Steve Scott, Timothy Bell, and Tiffany Graham. She also leaves behind 15 Great Grandchildren.

Nieces /nephews; Iemanja Wells, LoriAnn Freeman, Lisa Freeman, Loretta Freeman, Richard Freeman, Rodney Freeman, and a vast number of beloved family and friends.
