Ruby L (Williamson) VanScoyk

March 17, 1921 - June 17, 2001

Ruby L. VanScoyk, 80, of North Eddy Street, South Bend, Ind., died Sunday, June 17, in Saint Joseph Community Hospital. She was born in New Castle, Ind., on March 17, 1921, to Brian and Alma (Admire) Williamson. On Feb. 1, 1941, in South Bend, she married Harry E. VanScoyk, who died April 8, 1999. 

She is survived by her daughter. Rebecca Ann (Joseph) Fuzey of South Bend, two sons, Harry E VanScoyk of Michigan and Walter E VanScoyk of South Bend, 11 grandchildren. Joann Burger. Lisa Almaguer. Melissa (Jesus) Ruiz, Michelle Baldwin, Jeremy VanScoyk, Joseph Fuzey, Julie (John) Lancaster, Jon Fuzey, Jere Fuzey, Jayme Fuzey and Joshua Fuzey; and by 13 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Brian, Anna J., Amanda, Jessica, Meghan. Mackenzie, Amber, Ashley, Nathan, Jared, Anna and Gena.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today, June 19, in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, located at Ironwood and Jefferson Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
