EmmaLou (Steyaert) McClanahan

SOUTH BEND EmmaLou McClanahan, 72, of 20084 Smallwood St., died at 9:15 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mrs. McClanahan retired in 1970 as an office worker. She was born April 4, 1922, in South Bend.

On Oct. 24, 1964, in Buchanan, as EmmaLou Steyaert, she married James A. McClanahan. He survives with a daughter, Nancy Jo Stafford White of Mishawaka: a son, Bernie R. Stafford Joseph; four grandchildren; two great -grandchildren; and two sisters, June Caldwell of South Bend and Clara Codens of Mishawaka.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Lions Eye Bank, 418 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46617
