Kathryn M. (Schimmel) Hurrell

Kathryn M. Hurrell, 76, died Nov. 26 after a long illness. Hurrell was born in South Bend, IN., and lived in Santa Clarita. 

Hurrell was a member of the Emblem Club, San Fernando Chapter, and will be remembered as a devoted mother and grand-mother. She is survived by her son, James P. Hurrell of Castaic; son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Hurrell of Saugus; grandchildren, Jonathan R. Hurrell of Saugus, and James T. Hurrell of Saugus. 

Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Canyons Mortuary, 18319 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country, on Wednesday, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. at Chapel of the Canyons Mortuary. Burial to follow at Eternal Valley Memorial Park. The Signal, Santa Clarita, CA
