George O. Quick

George O Quick. 52. of 14601 Day. Mishawaka. died. today in Osteopathic hospital of an apparent heart attack. He had been employed by the Reinke Construction Ca. where he was a carpenter. He was born July 20, 1922 in South Bend. and had been a lifetime resident of the area. On July 21. 1944, in South Bend. he married the former Betty J Chamberlain. who survives.

He was a member of the (lay Twp. Lions Club and was an adviser for the Order of the Arrow for the Boy Scouts of America. He also was assistant scoutmaster of Troop 477 for the Boy Scouts.

Surviving are seven sons. George Jr., Tampa. Fla Joseph of Osceola. David of Mishawaka, and Barry, James and Peter Quick. all at home. five daughters. Mrs Ruthanne Brown of South Bend. Mrs Nancy Kosher of Elkhart. Mrs Linda Ruth of Mishawaka, Mrs. Kathy Bird of Cedar Rapids. Iowa and Miss Amy Quick at home, seven grand-children. two brothers. Raymond of Anaheim. Calif . and Charles of South Rend. two stepbrothers. Raymond and Robert Sherman. both of South Bend. a half-sister. Miss Beverly Quick of Mishawaka and a stepsister. Mrs Sharon Rose of South Bend

Services will be at 11 a m Saturday in the HollIs-Palmer Funeral Home. 25t4 Mishawaka Ave . with Rev Frank Kronewitter assistant pastor of St Monica's Church. officiating. and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mishawaka Friends may call in the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to p m Friday
