Henry Kroll. 58. of 1622 N. Brookfield, died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at home after an unexpected illness. He was employed as a switchman for Indiana Sell Telephone Co. for 30 years. Born on Jan. 14, 1922 in South Bend, he had lived here all his life.

On June 24, 1950, in South Bend, he married Dorothy A. Dyer, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Anne. at home, Mrs. Kathleen Sharpe of Martinsville, Ind., and Mrs. Margaret Keller of Monterey, Ind.; four sons, Dennis, at home. Thomas of Kent, Ohio. Larry of South Bend and Leonard of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren: four sisters, Wanda and Harriet Kroll, and Henrietta Scholz, all of South Reid and Rita Wieklinski of Hammond. IN. and three brothers, Joseph of South Bend, Leo of LaPorte and Matthew of Orangevale, CA.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rev. Jacob Smith, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be observed at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. He was a World War II veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Child Society or Holy Cross Church.
