Thaddeus Joseph Baranowski

Thaddeus Joseph Baranowski, Sr., 75, of Belle Vista passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mr. Baranowski was born on Sept. 15, 1920, in Meridan, Conn., to John and Anna Baranowski. Thaddeus was a lifelong resident of South Bend and was married on Sept. 1, 1949, to the former Esther Van De Veirre, who preceded him in death on June 22, 1984.

Surviving are three sons, Thaddeus J. Baranowski Jr., of Erie, Pa., Michael Baranowski of Seattle, Wash., and Philip Baranowski of Oak Park, Ill.; two grandchildren; two grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Zielinski and Rita Urbanski, both of South Bend; a brother, Edwin Baranowski of Manhasset, Long Island.

Mr. Baranowski was an independent contractor in kitchen maintenance and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

A memorial mass was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment was in the Highland Cemetery. Welsheimer Funeral Home handled the arrangements
