SOUTH BEND - John H. "Jack" Bill, 68, of South Paxson Drive, died at 8:15 p.m.

Friday in his home after an illness. Mr. Bill retired from the Aircraft Division of Bendix Corp. after 33 years as an electronics technician.

He was born Oct. 31, 1926, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On March 20, 1954, in South Bend, he married Jeanne (Myers) Thompson. She survives with a son, Keith E. of South Bend, two stepsons, Dennis Thompson of South Bend and Michael Thompson of Peoria, Ill.; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; his mother, Ruth Bill of South Bend; and a sister, Mary Ellen Jaronik of South Bend.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in 1 St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
