Kathleen E. (Balok) Omundsen

SOUTH BEND - Kathleen E. Omundsen, 62, of 553 Parkovash Ave., died at 4:40 a.m. today in Michiana Community Hospital.

Mrs. Omundsen was born Oct. 4, 1926, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

In 1946, in South Bend, as Kathleen Balok, she married Louis G. Omundsen. He died March 2, 1964.

She is survived by a son, Larry H. of Niles; two grandchildren; a sister, Helen Robaska of South Bend; and three brothers, Jerry Balok of Chicago, William Balok of Vandalia and Robert Balok of Belleview, Ohio.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary Chapter 4 and American Legion Pulaski Post 357 Womens Auxiliary.

Services will be at soon Wednesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from noon to and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the p.m. funeral home.
