Helen Higinbotham Pratt
1860 ~ 1889
Mrs. George B. Pratt, of Elkhart, formerly Miss Helen Higinbotham, of this city, died on Sunday morning at one o’clock at Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she was visiting her relatives. She had not been so sick as to excite alarm, although in feeble health, until last Saturday.
Her husband and Mrs. L. Hubbard, of this city, were immediately summoned by telegraph, but when they reached Minneapolis, she was unconscious. She leaves one child, Agnes, aged four years.
The remains will be brought to Elkhart for interment, and will reach there at 12:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. The funeral will take place there at half-past two tomorrow afternoon.
The deceased was born in this city. Her mother was a daughter of the late Judge E. Egbert, and on the death of her mother, Helen made her home with Judge and Mrs. Egbert.
She was well known in this city and greatly liked by all who knew her.
