Elsa E. (Carlson) Hunt

Elsa Emily Hunt, 91, of Huntington Beach, Calif., formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday in California after being ill two months. She was an elementary teacher in the South Bend Community School Corp. for 40 years. She was born on April 10, 1892, in South Bend and lived here most of her life until moving to California about 19 years ago, upon retirement.

As Elsa Emily Carlson, she married Russell J. Hunt. He survives with two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane Hardy of Edwardsburg and Mrs. Nancy Lepak of Huntington Beach; a son, Russell G. Hunt of Costa Mesa, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren. A sister, Gertrude M. Carlson, preceded her in death in 1979.

The Westminster Memorial Park and Mortuary, Westminster, Calif., is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Hunt was a member of St. Paul's Memorial United Methodist Church of South Acid since 1907, and she was a member of AAUW of Santa Ana, Calif., Order of Eastern Star Chapter 2 South Bend, the National Retired Teachers Association and the Audubon Society. She was a graduate of Butler University.
