Harold V. Ballard

Harold V. Ballard, 59, of 1736 Middleton Run Road, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Luke's Presbyterian Hospital, Chicago after an illness of two months.
He was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Valparaiso. He came to Elkhart in 1946 from South Bend.

On Nov. 14, 1947, he married Mariellen O'Brien in Elkhart. She survives with two brothers, Chester E., El Paso, Tex., and Everett P., Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Everett Ballard Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. J. Ross Rickey of Coalbush United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.

Mr. Ballard was retired from Miles Laboratories where he was payroll supervisor. He was a WWII veteran.
