John F. Suto

ELKHART John F. Suto, 79, of 1919 Rainbow Bend Blvd., died at 11:32 p.m. Tuesday in Elkhart General Hospital. Mr. Suto was the former owner of Suto's Wholesale Meats, South Bend.

He was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Bessemer, Mich. He had lived in the Elkhart area for most of his life.

On Feb. 12, 1938, in South Bend, he married Thyra Winther. She died Sept. 28, 1992.

Surviving are two daughters, Frances Filson of Glendale, Calif., and Nancy Strazzulla of Vero Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum, South Bend. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend.
