Dr. John L. Worden

WORDEN Word has been received of the death on Tuesday of Dr. John L. Worden, 71, in Olean (N. Y.) General Hospital, after a brief illness.

Worden was professor emeritus of biology at St. Bonaventure (N.Y.) University and was emergency medical service coordinator for Cattaraugus County, N.Y.

He was born on Dec. 11, 1907 in South Bend and graduated from the University of Notre Dame.

Surviving are his widow, Leone Borer Worden; a daughter, Margaret S. Worden of Olean; three sons, John L. III of Arlington, Mass., Dr. Lorenz M. Worden of Albany, N. Y. and Dr. Robert L. Worden of Annapolis, Md.; nine grandchildren, and a sister, Maryann Worden Harvey of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. A' Mass of Christian

Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel at St. Bonaventure's Priory. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, N. Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to the John L. Worden Memorial Fund at St. Bonaventure University. The Letro-McIntosh Funeral Home, Olean, is in charge of arrangements
