Donald E. Whitmore, 89, of Hudson, Fla., formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away Aug. 21, in his residence in Florida. Mr. Whitmore was born April 15, 1907, in South Bend.

Surviving relatives are his wife, Gretchen; two sisters, Virginia Smith of Schaumburg, Ill., and Winnfred Norman of Clinton, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be graveside, at 2 p.m., in Riverview Cemetery, Saturday, with the Rev. Bruce Haapalainen officiating.
