Edwin G. (Jerry) Sibley of 823 Logan St.. a salesman for Oakwood Auto Parts, died Tuesday in St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been a patient since Nov. 29.

Mr. Sibley, who was 57, had been ill for six months and in September had undergone surgery in St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis. He was born at South Bend, Ind., April 4, 1906, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sibley. For the past 10 years he had lived in Alton.

Surviving are his widow, Catherine; a daughter, Mrs. Claire Austill. Norwalk, Conn.. two step-children, Mrs. Mary| Jean Ermes. California, and Bill Bray, Alton: three brothers, William and George, South Bend, Ind., and Harvey, Naples, Fla., and four grandchildren.

Mr. Sibley was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and rector of the church, the Rev. John M. Young will conduct funeral services Thursday at 11 a.m. In Gent Chapel. Burial will be in Upper Alton Cemetery. Friends may visit the chapel after 7 p.m. today
