Dr Ulysses Joseph Rothballer

Shown are pictures of the six persons killed Sunday in a head-on crash of automobiles driven by Dr. Ulysses J. Rothballer, D. D. S., aged 33, of 1020 East Sorin street, and Mrs. Edith May Beecher, 54, of 811 Portage avenue, and an artist's conception of how the accident occurred on U. S. highway No. 31 nine miles north of South Bend. The artist's sketch is based on a Michigan state police report.

The sketch shows how the northbound sedan driven by Dr. Rothballer clipped a northbound car operated by George L. Forbes, 24, of rural route Niles, Mich., and careened across the wide highway into the path. of the southbound coupe driven by Mrs. Beecher.

Mrs. Ryan and Mr. Klaverenga were riding with Mrs. Beecher. The others killed were ridiing with Dr. Rothballer.

None were hurt in the Forbes.
